The Tax Men can have 14 inch shotties, but I can't?
Us proles - especially here in California - have to have shotguns with barrels no less than 18 inches long. Because, you know, we can't be trusted with something that has no obvious use other than to er... collect taxes?
Guess it's good to be the king('s men)...

Y'know, with the exception of the military being somewhat of an exception, I am almost of the mindset that nothing we average citizens cannot own/use should be available to civilian representatives of the federal government, either.
Oh, sure, for those of us lucky enough to live in Free America, we can pay the $200 tax stamp, wait six months, undergo background checks and examinations, and maybe have our federal government allow us to own short-barreled shotguns as well... But unless the IRS is going through the same channels, they should not be permitted to purchase the hardware.
Hell, I am willing to wager that I have been background checked more often than most of the men who will be wielding those fun toys. And yet I, as a fellow civilian, just like the IRS representatives, cannot simply put out a requisition and gather up my own storehouse of SBSes.
Something is very wrong in a country where this is the case.
Yup.
