Oh yeah, I've heard they were pretty tough, but you can tell it's gang mentality! Better that than die!
I have a daughter-in-law who was born over there somewhere and I've seen photos of one of those she killed!
The moral of the story... stick together! There's strength in numbers, and it never over till it's over.

wow - what a cool video. I'm glad the baby lived & got away. Who knew a huge pack of herbivores could be so fierce? Then again, that's a whole lot of steak to come barreling at ya. I'd give them all the space they required.
Sheesh, my kids have been glued to this! We were in Kenya last year, we saw a cheetah make a fresh kill - it was over in seconds (thankfully).. but this is something else. First the lionesses, then the crocs, and finally ma and her clan to the rescue. If someone made an animated film about this, no one would believe it!
Yeah, pretty wild. Watching that lioness get tossed like a rag doll made my jaw hit the floor...
