Remember this guy?

Well, he's out after 80 days in jail (it's been that long already?) due to a plea deal. Needs to undergo psychiatric evaluation and has three years probation.
Oh yeah, now he can no longer own guns.
I feel much safer.
I'm wondering if the day is coming in California when all gun owners will be treated as though they have a "sickness".
I'd best move before then.

Wow...
It's a sad case, especially because he was an upstanding citizen, veteran, etc., who lost his home, his very expensive gun collection, rights to own another firearm, 80 days of his life, and basically his freedom. I think it's awesome that he built that tunnel and cache under his house though. Sounds like the guy is pretty smart, and prepared for anything. I hope the government didn't piss him off too much...his cleverness and survival instincts could easily go the other way...

Yep. However, he was lacking somewhat in common sense. I don't mind the guns, but that was a hell of a lot of gunpowder to be having in a residential neighborhood. With house prices the way they are, he should have bought himself a nice spread out in the Texas countryside and none of this would have been an issue. The guns he got popped for are LEGAL in most other states.
